ProMATIC Automation to endorse Justin Fontaine in Truck Series Daytona debut

STATESVILLE, N.C. – Officials from Niece Motorsports announced today that ProMATIC Automation, a longtime supporter of NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) Rookie of the Year contender Justin Fontaine (@driverFontaine) will endorse him in next Friday’s NextEra Energy Resources 250 at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway.

The 2018 NCWTS season-opener will mark the third consecutive season where the Fletcher, North Carolina-based company will adorn their colors with Fontaine, a native of Asheville, N.C.

Statesville, N.C.-based Niece Motorsports announced in December that Fontaine, 20, will drive one of two full-time trucks this season. Fontaine, the cousin of longtime Truck Series competitor Chris Fontaine graduates to the NCWTS after a rookie stint in the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards last season.

“This is an exciting time in my career and I believe I’m ready for this next challenge with Niece Motorsports,” added Fontaine.

“I know I have a lot to learn, but with the leadership of Niece Motorsports and the support of others, I believe I can transition well and produce some good results in my rookie season.”

Darrell Morrow was named Fontaine’s crew chief in January.

The NextEra Energy Resources 250 (100 laps / 250 miles) is the first of 23 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series races on the 2018 schedule. Practice begins on Thurs, Feb. 15 from 2:00 p.m. – 2:55 p.m. A final practice session is set for 4:00 p.m. – 4:55 p.m. Qualifying is set for race day, Fri., Feb. 16 beginning at 4:30 p.m. The 32-truck field will take the green flag shortly after 7:30 p.m. with live coverage on FOX Sports 1, the Motor Racing Network (Radio) and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio (Satellite Radio, Channel 90).
