As the race wore on, the interior temperature in the truck rose to extreme numbers.  I felt like my driving abilities were becoming increasingly compromised.  I was spun around and had to go to the pits for maintenance.  By the time I made it down pit road, I felt overheated and disoriented like I’ve never felt before.  For safety, I made the decision to get out of the truck.  I was transferred to the infield care center for heat exhaustion.  I’m doing fine now and I’m looking forward to the next race in Dover, one of my favorite tracks.”
