Race Rundown – No. 41 Florida Watermelon Association Chevrolet Silverado

Chastain started at the back of the field but quickly picked his way through traffic in the opening laps of Saturday’s Fr8 208, making his way into the top-20 by lap eight. He continued to move to the front to place ninth in stage one. With one to go in stage two, the No. 41 suffered a flat left rear tire that brought out the caution and fell a lap down as a result. After receiving the free pass to get back on the lead lap, Chastain charged to the front and ran eighth with under 50 laps remaining. On lap 132, Chastain again suffered from a flat tire and kept the No. 41 on track in the closing laps resulting in a 23rd-place finish.

Chastain on his first Truck Series start of 2022: “We brought a really fast Chevrolet Silverado that allowed us to make our way to the front in short order. Despite suffering from two flat tires – with the last one coming with two to go – we were in contention all afternoon. Sometimes it just doesn’t work out, but I appreciate all the hard work from Niece Motorsports this weekend to make this opportunity possible.”
