Bayley Currey rejoins Niece Motorsports in 2024, this time driving the No. 41 Chevrolet Silverado for the full season in the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series.
Last season, Currey piloted a partial schedule for Niece Motorsports in the No. 41 Chevrolet Silverado. In 11 Truck Series starts, Currey earned three top-five and four top-10 finishes.
The 2022 season marked Currey’s first full-time season with JD Motorsports in the Xfinity Series, where he earned his best finish of 10th at Loudon, and capped the season off with 13 top-20 finishes in 33 starts.
Currey’s racing career started at the age of seven, in New Braunfels, Texas with help from his father, who also raced. Currey would go on to win two Texas state championships in both Bandoleros and Legend cars.
In only two years in a Modified, Currey was able to capture a track championship at Central Texas Speedway and was named NASCAR Whelen Rookie of the Year in Texas. From there, he raced late models, where he secured another track championship at Central Texas Speedway, leading to his Truck Series debut in 2017.
In just three starts with Beaver Motorsports and Copp Motorsports in the 2017 Truck Series season, Currey scored a top-10 in his second career start at Phoenix Raceway.
Currey’s career continued to move rapidly as he made his first start in the NASCAR Xfinity Series in 2018 at Texas Motor Speedway. The 2018 season saw Currey make a combined 26 starts between both the Xfinity Series and the CRAFTSMAN Truck Series.
In 2019, Currey made his first NASCAR Cup Series start with Rick Ware Racing, with a best finish of 25th after 10 starts in his debut season. Additionally, Currey made two Truck Series starts with Niece Motorsports at Pocono Raceway and Michigan International Speedway.
The 2020 season saw Currey make a combined 33 starts among NASCAR’s three major touring series — 26 of those coming in the NASCAR Xfinity Series with Mike Harmon Racing, where he earned nine top-20 finishes.
In 2021, Currey continued to race in the Cup Series, Xfinity Series, and CRAFTSMAN Truck Series, making 30 starts across NASCAR’s top-three series. In 24 NASCAR Xfinity Series starts, Currey earning his best finish of seventh at Phoenix Raceway.
