Precision Vehicle Logistics Expands Grassroots Racing Partnership with Niece Motorsports and Matt Gould

Gould to compete in the South Carolina 400 with Precision backing

Salisbury, NC (Nov. 19, 2024) – Though the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series season may be two weeks removed from its finale, the Niece Motorsports team has stayed busy competing at the grassroots level.

Last week, the team announced a revival of its Dirt Super Late Model program with Max McLaughlin as the driver and Precision Vehicle Logistics as the primary sponsor. McLaughlin debuted the No. 4 car in the Peach State Classic at Senoia Raceway.

This week, the organization will field a Late Model Stock entry in the South Carolina 400 through a partnership with Gould Racing. Matt Gould will be the driver behind the wheel of the No. 27 Chevrolet Camaro.

Precision Vehicle Logistics will expand their partnership with Niece Motorsports to serve as Gould's primary sponsor in the prestigious race. The company was an anchor partner throughout the Truck Series season and is passionate for grassroots racing - whether that be on dirt or asphalt.

“In continuation with our overall support for Niece Motorsports, and every individual, corner, and discipline under their roof, we are proud that Al (Niece), Cody (Efaw), and Niece Motorsports as a whole, consider us to be the type of partner they enjoy bringing to the racetrack all year round," said Jason Wilson, Vice President of Precision. "We Look forward to Matt rolling with us onboard in Florence.”

Gould is a former race winner at Florence Motor Speedway, having won the Pee Dee 225 in 2021. He's also competed in the South Carolina 250, but both of those races were ran under the Limited Late Model division. Earlier this year, Gould made his first Late Model Stock start at the track in the Ice Breaker, where he earned a top-10 finish.

"Florence is a really cool track to race on," said Gould. "It's definitely unique, and the lane widens out as the run goes on. We've had a lot of success there in the past, and I feel good about the car we're bringing this week. We went to test there earlier in the week and everybody has been really excited about the race. It means a lot to have Precision Vehicle Logistics on the car; they've been a big part of our team this year and it's really cool to see all of the support they have for us even outside of Truck Series racing. It's going to be a fun weekend."

The 18-year-old from Mooresville, North Carolina also made a pair of NCTS starts at the Milwaukee Mile and Martinsville Speedway driving Niece Motorsports' No. 44 Chevrolet Silverado RST.

With nearly 60 entries in the South Carolina 400, the race has long been considered one of Late Model Stock racing's largest events of the year. The 32nd-annual running will see Gould compete against some of the country's fiercest competitors in the NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series.

Fans can tune-in to FloRacing to live stream all of the action on Saturday, Nov. 23. Qualifying will begin at 4:15 PM ET with the main event slated to roll off around 6:00 PM ET.
