Honoring a Hero: The No. 45 Chevrolet will race in honorof K9 Officer Jordan Sheldon of the Mooresville Police Department. Sheldon tragically lost his life protectinghis community on May 4, 2019. Sheldon, asix-year veteran of the Department, graduated from the University of NorthCarolina at Charlotte, where he earned a degree in criminal justice. Sheldon joined the Mooresville PoliceDepartment in 2013 and in 2015 was appointed to the K-9 unit. Sheldon is remembered not only for his workas a police officer, but for his charisma, kindness and generosity.
