Timothy Peters Joins Niece Motorsports for the First Three Truck Series Races of 2019 Season

STATESVILLE, N.C. (Jan. 31, 2019) – NASCAR GanderOutdoors Truck Series (NGOTS) winner and veteran Timothy Peters will join NieceMotorsports, piloting the No. 44 Chevrolet Silverado for the first three racesof the 2019 season.  

Peters,who is an 11-time winner in the NGOTS will drive the No. 44 Friends of JaclynFoundation Chevrolet in the season-opening event at Daytona InternationalSpeedway, followed by races at Atlanta Motor Speedway and Las Vegas MotorSpeedway.

“I’mreally excited for the opportunity to race the first three races for NieceMotorsports,” said Peters.  “Al Niece,Cody Efaw and everyone within Niece Motorsports have been working very hardtowards the 2019 season, and I’m looking forward to showing what we canaccomplish and build in these first three races.  Also, it is an honor to represent the Friendsof Jaclyn Foundation at Daytona.  We hopeto bring awareness to children that have been diagnosed with brain tumors andother pediatric cancers.  Thanks toeveryone that made this opportunity possible. Petershas 10 NGOTS starts at Daytona International Speedway, visiting Victory Lane atthe esteemed track in 2010. Additionally, Peters won at Las Vegas Motor Speedway in 2013.

In2018, Peters made five starts, earning one win, two top-five and four top-10finishes.  The veteran racer is nostranger to superspeedway success – he led the final lap in last season’s eventat Talladega Superspeedway to capture his 11th NGOTS victory.
